The translations on my website are progressing.

With the publication of my travelogue Ostseetörn in the renowned magazine Palstek a few days ago, the website will receive even more attention. And perhaps one or two readers who prefer to read my articles in English will find their way to the English section. For the international travel reports, this is almost a must.

I have a few reports from the past that still need to be translated. I shied away from this task for a long time. As good as I am at communicating with people in English, but also with my hands and feet, it is important to me to publish readable texts on my website.

With Softmaker's office suite, I have finally found a suitable way to realise the translations with reasonable effort. The latest edition of this office software has a translation tool from Deepl (or to be more precise, has the translations carried out by Deepl), so that I have a really good text in English in no time at all. Even maritime terms are translated correctly as far as possible, which I find particularly impressive.

The Office suite also includes everything you need to work with texts, spreadsheets and presentations. Microsoft Office? Is now completely superfluous. Especially as I don't understand why even die-hard "made in Germany" fans fall back on software from the USA. What a paradox.
