Sailing Trips
Area reports, impressions and experiences. Some trips simply remain in your memory, but others need to be told. Here you will find my highlights from recent years.
Cape Verde
March 2024
Sailing off Africa in the middle of the Atlantic. Long distances, lonely sailing grounds and many new impressions. On the road in the place that calls itself the ‘birthplace of the most destructive hurricanes’.
From Heiligenhafen to Törehamn
A journey for two to the end of the Baltic Sea. Solitude, cold, nights spent sailing and a sun that refuses to set.
The best comes last. After a fascinating year, the icing on the cake is yet to come, even if the rainy season is not over yet.
Windward Islands / Carribean
Pula / Croatia
June 2023
Sailing in Istria. One of the most beautiful starting points is undoubtedly the small town of Pula, which is well worth a visit. We set off for Kvarner Bay, notorious for its bora wind. We got to know it from its gentler side.
Sardinia / Italy
Good things come to those who wait... One of the most impressive areas, plus my first trip on a catamaran: this almost calls for a travel report!
The plan was to get a breath of Atlantic air. We hadn't expected it to be so rough between the islands. But that didn't spoil the fun in the slightest.
Tenerife / Canary Islands
SKS-Training Cruise Mallorca
June 2023
Here I describe the course of an SKS training cruise in the Palma de Mallorca area.
Trogir / Croatia
Croatia, with its crystal-clear waters and many beautiful islands, is well worth a visit, even if prices have risen outrageously. Here is the report from Dalmatia.
A trip to the Aeolian Islands, also known as the Lipari Islands, is like stepping back in time. I wouldn't have been surprised if prehistoric dinosaurs had been watching us from the islands.
Äolische Inseln / Italien
Estonia and Finland
May 2022
For 20 years, I have dreamed of attending an ice hockey world championship by boat. Now it has finally come true! We were blown away by Estonian culture and hospitality! And Finland was just as impressive.
From Helsingør to Karlskrona
What was planned as a leisurely cruise along Sweden's south coast turned into a long haul due to a commitment in Berlin. But the wind and weather were kind to us!
Sailing the hard way. Sometimes it's impossible to put what you've experienced into words. That's why I'll let the video speak for itself.
From Les Sables-d'Olonne through the English Channel to the North Sea
